Teavana Large PerfecTea Tea Maker II, 32oz

I figured it must be good sign if someone was that enthusiastic about it. I have the 32oz and 16oz version and I have to say I absolutely love it! Clean up is pretty easy and the filter is fine enough that you don't get pieces of tea leaves in your cup.

I brought this Teavana Large PerfecTea Tea Maker II to work and my co-workers loved the idea of being able to watch the tea steep and how the tea is dispensed. This tea maker is BPA free, which is nice to know. Being plastic makes it light and durable. The design works great for loose leaf teas. If you put rock sugar or honey in it, it drains through the bottom and helps mix it all up in your cup.

When finished draining my tea into my cup, I can just rinse the Teavana Large PerfecTea Tea Maker II out, and let it dry for next time (if you haven't used sweetener that would need to be washed out). I rarely have problems with tea getting stuck in the strainer. It typically just rinses clean.

Keep in mind that it is good to make sure that the tea maker is on a flat surface, and the draining mechanism isn't engaged before pouring water in. I didn't notice that the Teavana Large PerfecTea Tea Maker II was a little bit high centered on its base which had engaged the draining mechanism. Tea went everywhere. The woman I encountered in the store didn't steer me wrong - this is my favorite tea maker by far.

I had one of the earler models offered by another tea company. There was never a question about how well it brewed; but cleaning it was a nightmare with a filter that would fall out and then not go back where it belonged. I put it away a few years ago and mostly brewed in a pot, or insulated travel mug.

I was impressed with the composition of the material and overall Teavana Large PerfecTea Tea Maker II design. Considering I use herbals that are very fine, that is a major plus.
