I love my
IngenuiTEA Teapot. The filter is really fine and works great even for roiboos and honeybush teas. Makes tea easy and fun to make. The plastic is of decent quality. Filter seems to be working as intended. The size I chose helps create 3 8oz cups of tea which is perfect for my family of three.
This innovative teapot releases infused tea into your cup from bottom of pot. Its high efficiency mesh filter retains all the leaves in the pot, eliminating most sediment. The teapot holds 32 ounces and features an easy grip handle and a wide body, which allows room for leaves to expand for full flavor.

It works with virtually any cup or mug, is dishwasher and microwave safe, and is made from durable food grade plastic. I have been using the Adagio Teas Ingenuitea Teapot
Tea Maker 16 ounce every day for about a year and I find it the best solution for a single mug of tea.
Pros:
- It is microwaveable. This is faster than my gas stove.
- Easy to clean.
- Allows the tea the maximum space to expand and infuse.
- Bottom filter is fine enough to get all but the dust.
- Can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
Cons:
- After time the clear plastic becomes tea colored. It must be cleaned but the bottom valve and some bottom crevices cannot be easily cleaned. The dishwasher usually does a good job but it does not get everything.
- You must be careful when you pick it up and not hold it by the bottom. If you activate the valve it makes a mess.
Once tea is done I just scoop tea off into trash bin, and rinse it with water to wash off the remainder. You can pull the whole thing apart for cleaning, and a good scrub got rid of the tea stain in all parts except the filter piece. Really great piece for every tea-lover.
Works well to produce good cups of tea while retaining the heat for a fair period of time. The bottom pourer works well but you have to monitor it on a non-translucent cup.
Yes, I would recommend this IngenuiTEA Teapot from Adagio Teas if you are a tea junkie! It will serve you well I fyou take care of it with a bit of care.
